Purpose of this blog

This blog expresses my thoughts, opinions, and emotions about whether and to what extent various ideologies relieve widespread, sustained suffering.

The study of whether and to what extent various ideologies relieve widespread, sustained suffering I will here call "ideological relief-logy", 'cause otherwise such field of study is fuckin' cumbersome to talk and write about. To this end, I might even contract it down to just "IR".

I've been obsessed with ideological reliefology almost my whole life, even before I had words to describe it.

To spite my obsession with IR, I have not given it adequate attention. I do not have the discipline 'cause chronic debilitating depression has rendered me unable to focus on long term studies.

Hence the best I have produced is a collection of short and often unfinished writings relevant to IR that I have sporadically tried to share with others, but to no avail. A couple of web sites and discussion groups. Two attempts at writing a book. And now this very blog. All failures 'cause I don't have the discipline and never will.

If you remain curious about my attempts to study IR, I offer the following writings as introductions to my failed project. The three that I have so far listed are candidates for the introductions for my two failed book attempts.

Preface: What is a metaphysical continua? -WHAT IS A METAPHYSICAL CONTINUA?- First I will explain continua. An example of a continua is a number line representing the real numbers. Each point on the line represents a real number. Between any two of these real numbers there are more real numbers that can be represented by points and labeled.
